The Northern Ireland Assembly Research and Information Service (also known as RaISe) is a research service based in the Northern Ireland Assembly.

RaISe employs subject specialists and library professionals to provide research and information in support of Assembly business. We produce written and oral briefings in an impartial, objective, timely and non-partisan manner.

This blog provides an opportunity for RaISe to produce short, topical articles in an accessible format, primarily for MLAs and their support staff, but also for a wider audience.
